Produced On-Demand Team Store FAQ

GameBreaker Homefield Advantage makes it easy for teams, leagues, clubs, and organizations to offer custom fan gear and apparel without the hassle of managing inventory, collecting orders, or handling customer service.

Our Produced On-Demand team stores allow customers to purchase custom team apparel and fan gear during a defined ordering window. Once the store closes, GameBreaker produces the products specifically for the orders received, fulfills them, and ships them directly to customers.

Getting Started

What is a Produced On-Demand Team Store?

A Produced On-Demand team store allows your organization to offer custom apparel and fan gear without purchasing or managing inventory upfront.

Customers shop during a defined store window. Once the store closes, GameBreaker consolidates the orders, produces the products specifically for those orders, decorates them with your approved designs, and fulfills the orders.

This model allows your organization to offer a broader assortment of custom products without having to purchase or manage inventory.

How do I request a team store?

The first step is to complete the GameBreaker Team Store Request Form.

The form provides the information needed to review your request, build your store, and establish your product assortment and revenue share structure.

What does GameBreaker need from us to build the team store?

Please complete the Team Store Request Form and provide the requested information and files. You will be asked to provide:

  • Organization name and primary contact information
  • Email, phone number, and shipping address
  • Revenue share amount
  • Organization participation count
  • Registration date
  • Season start and end dates
  • Product preferences, including brands or products you prefer to avoid
  • Store use
  • Organization and team logos
  • Whether you have created an account on uniforms.gamebreaker.com
  • Whether you are already working with a GameBreaker sales representative

Please attach all applicable organization and team logos. High-resolution logos are preferred.

Once submitted, the GameBreaker team will review your request. If approved, a GameBreaker team member will contact you to collect payment information and move forward with team store setup.

Do I need to be working with a GameBreaker sales representative?

No.

The request form asks whether you are already working with a GameBreaker sales representative. If you are not, your request can still be submitted for review.

Store Cost & Fees

How much does it cost to set up a team store?

Our goal is for every team store to be successful and generate at least $1,000 in sales.

If your store reaches $1,000 in sales, the standard $250 store setup fee is waived. If your store does not reach $1,000 in sales, the $250 store setup fee will apply.

Before the fee is processed, your GameBreaker sales representative will review the store's performance with you and determine the best path forward.

Is there a minimum sales requirement?

There is no minimum number of orders required to open a team store.

However, our goal is for every store to generate at least $1,000 in sales. If the store does not reach $1,000 in sales, the $250 store setup fee will apply. The store's performance will be reviewed before the fee is processed.

Why do you require a credit card?

A credit card is required to securely establish your team store and cover any applicable setup fees.

At the time of store setup, a $1 non-refundable card verification charge is processed to securely verify your payment method and help prevent fraudulent signups.

The $1 verification charge is separate from the $250 store setup fee and is not credited toward the setup fee.

Is the $1 card verification charge refundable?

No.

The $1 charge is a permanent, non-refundable card verification charge that covers the processing and security costs associated with securely verifying the payment method.

Revenue Share

How does fundraising or revenue share work?

Your organization determines the revenue share amount you would like to receive from team store sales. Revenue share can be structured as either:

  • A fixed dollar amount per item
  • A flat percentage applied to each item

A common structure is 15% of sales or $5 per item, but the program can be customized based on your organization's goals.

Can we choose different revenue share amounts for different products?

No.

Revenue share is configured as one blanket amount across all products in the team store. You can select either a fixed dollar amount per item or a flat percentage applied to each item.

Individual revenue share amounts or product-specific pricing adjustments are not supported.

When do we receive our revenue share payment?

GameBreaker will issue your revenue share payment approximately 30 days after the orders are processed.

The exact payment amount will be based on the revenue share structure established for your team store.

What products can we offer?

Your primary team or organization logo per location type is included as part of the standard team store setup.

We offer additional Team Pride logo options designed specifically for fanwear and spirit gear. An additional $50 decoration fee applies for each additional logo used in your team store.

How Produced On-Demand Works

What does Produced On-Demand mean?

Produced On-Demand means products are produced specifically for the orders received through your team store.

GameBreaker does not require your organization to purchase and hold inventory upfront. Customers place their orders during the team store's ordering window, and production begins after the store closes.

Does GameBreaker hold inventory for our team store?

GameBreaker uses items with very strong inventory levels.

Products are produced based on customer orders rather than requiring your organization to purchase and hold inventory in advance.

Why does the team store have a close date?

The close date allows GameBreaker to finalize all orders and begin production.

Once the team store closes, orders are consolidated, products are produced and decorated, and the completed orders are prepared for shipment.

When does production begin?

Production begins after the team store closes and the orders have been finalized.

Why don't customers receive their orders immediately after purchasing?

Because these products are Produced On-Demand.

Unlike an in-stock product that can ship immediately, team store orders are collected throughout the ordering window and then produced specifically for the customers who ordered.

What happens after the team store closes?

Once the team store closes:

  • Orders are finalized.
  • GameBreaker processes the orders.
  • Products are produced.
  • Products are decorated.
  • Orders are fulfilled.
  • Orders are shipped.
  • Tracking information is provided.

Store Timing & Ordering Windows

How long is the team store open?

You choose the team store's open window.

Most stores are open for approximately two weeks, although the timing can be customized based on your program's needs and desired delivery date.

Can we choose the team store dates?

Yes.

Your team store's ordering window can be scheduled around your program, season, events, and desired delivery date.

How far in advance should we open the team store?

Plan your team store window around when customers need their products.

Because orders are produced after the store closes, sufficient time should be allowed for production, decoration, fulfillment, and shipping.

Can we keep our team store open year-round?

For the best customer experience, we generally recommend using defined store windows to help drive demand.

For programs that want ongoing access to fan gear, team stores can be reopened periodically.

Can we run multiple ordering windows?

Yes.

Team stores can be reopened for additional ordering windows throughout the season or year.

Can we use the same team store for multiple seasons?

Yes.

Your team store can be reopened for future ordering windows, allowing you to continue using the same storefront.

Can customers order after the team store closes?

No.

Orders cannot be placed while the team store is closed. The team store must be reopened for a new ordering window before additional orders can be placed.

Shipping & Fulfillment

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically arrive 2-3 weeks after the team store closes.

This timeline includes order processing, production, decoration, fulfillment, and shipping.

When should customers expect their orders?

Customers should plan for delivery approximately 2-3 weeks after the team store closes.

If products are needed for a specific event or date, customers should plan their purchase around the team store's closing date.

Are orders shipped directly to customers?

Yes.

The standard Produced On-Demand team store model provides ship-to-home fulfillment, with orders delivered directly to the address entered during checkout.

Can orders be shipped to the team instead?

Yes.

Depending on the team store and program structure, alternative fulfillment options may be available. Messaging and disclaimers can be communicated through the store with the pick up times and protocols.

Will I be notified when orders ship?

No.

Orders will arrive 2-3 weeks from the store close date.

Can expedited shipping be requested?

Expedited production or delivery is not guaranteed.

Customers should plan around the standard 2-3 week delivery timeline following the team store close.

Customer Service & Order Issues

Who handles customer service?

GameBreaker manages customer service for the team store, including order, production, fulfillment, shipping, and eligible product issues.

The applicable order policies should be reviewed before submitting a support request.

What happens if a customer receives the wrong product?

Incorrectly fulfilled products may qualify for a replacement or other resolution.

The original product and packaging should be retained until the issue has been resolved.

What happens if a customer receives a damaged or defective product?

Damaged or defective products may qualify for a replacement or other resolution.

Issues should be reported within five business days of delivery and include the order information and clear photos showing the issue.

What happens if a customer orders the wrong size?

Custom apparel cannot be returned or exchanged due to incorrect sizing.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the applicable sizing information before submitting their order.

Can customers return or exchange products?

No, due to the nature of the customization we cannot accept any returns or exchanges.

Custom apparel is not eligible for return or exchange due to incorrect sizing. Eligible issues may include damaged, defective, or incorrectly fulfilled products.

Can I change or cancel my order?

No. Orders cannot be changed or canceled once they have been submitted.
